Lisa Borzotta

Nick and I have been crossing paths in cheerleading for over 40 years, so it was no surprise when we eventually sat down and decided to create ImpACT Cheer & Dance. And for all you former ACT campers and staff who proudly wore the green and gold, the name ImpACT should make perfect sense!

My love of cheerleading started early. Beyond my grammar school days as both a mascot and cheerleader, I was always drawn to the choreography, creativity and energy of the sport. I began my professional cheer journey as an ACT staff member, eventually working my way up to senior staff and head choreographer alongside some incredibly talented people. What started as a great summer job quickly became a lifelong passion and career.

In 1989, I joined Nick as his assistant coach at Harrison High School, where we enjoyed a very successful run together through 2002. From there, I moved into All Star coaching while continuing to expand my involvement in the judging side of the industry.

Since 2019, I have served as the Associate Director of Rules, Scoring & Education for the Youth Cheer & Dance Alliance (YCADA). In this role, I help develop rules, scoring systems and educational resources for coaches and judges while supporting the continued growth and evolution of youth cheer and dance nationwide. Education has become one of the most rewarding parts of my career, and I am passionate about helping coaches, judges and programs better understand our sport while creating the best possible experience for young athletes.

After more than four decades in cheerleading, what still means the most to me are the relationships, experiences and memories this sport creates. With a long history together, a great friendship and a shared love for cheerleading, Nick and I remain committed to making every ImpACT Cheer & Dance event a positive and memorable experience for athletes, coaches, families and spectators.

Nick Gregory

With more than 45 years of involvement in cheerleading, I have dedicated my career to coaching, judging, and advancing the sport. As the former Head Coach of the Harrison High School Varsity Cheerleaders, I led the program for 38 years, during which my teams earned 16 National Championships and one World Championship.

As Co-Owner and Director of American Cheerleading Techniques (A.C.T.), I organized cheerleading camps throughout New Jersey and helped establish the state's first Garden State Cheerleading Championship. I also served as Director of the Harrison “Blue Tide” Invitational Cheerleading Competition for more than 30 years, helping create one of the region’s premier events.

My contributions to cheerleading have been recognized with numerous honors, including Coach of the Year awards from both UPA and USCA, as well as induction into the UPA Hall of Fame. I am especially proud to have been featured in American Cheerleader Magazine’s “Who’s Who of Coaching” since the publication's inception. In 2007, I received the New Jersey Cheerleading and Dance Coaches Association (NJCDCA) Coaches Recognition Award, presented annually to an outstanding coach for dedication and service to the sport.

For over 40 years, I have been an active member of the Metropolitan Cheerleading Judges Association, serving as President, Treasurer, and Training Coordinator, where I was responsible for mentoring and training new judges. My knowledge and expertise have led to judging opportunities with 10 national cheerleading organizations, and I continue to serve as a Head Judge for many of them. One of the highlights of my judging career was being selected to serve on the prestigious 2009 World Championships Judging Panel.

Throughout many of these endeavors, Lisa has been a valued partner, bringing her own experience, insight, and passion to the sport. Together, we bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding of every aspect of cheerleading to ImpACT. Our goal is to provide an exceptional, well-organized, and rewarding experience for athletes, coaches, and spectators alike, making the ImpACT Cheer & Dance Challenge an event that participants look forward to year after year.
